I’m a feral housewife and mother who spends her mornings in the garden, afternoons in the kitchen, and evenings floating in my $50 Funsicle pool or the $200 Coleman inflatable hot tub I’ve had for four years.

You don’t need a big backyard pool (or a big anything) to have a good time. I’ve built my own little resort life with a hippie’s pocketbook—digging in the dirt, flour on the counters, a starter on the shelf, and a quiet corner of the bedroom that doubles as my spa.
